We had a few damaged pieces and tons of missing hardware, so we had to call Gorilla and the hardware company, who sent us replacement pieces. Next, we decided to lay out the pieces in our yard and make sure everything was there. This was obviously our own fault, but something to keep in mind. We didn't think that our land was that uneven until we had someone use a laser level to assess it. Before we could even start assembling in the Spring, we ended up having to pay $1,000 to have our ground properly leveled and stones brought in for adequate drainage. Please disregard this paragraph if you have a perfectly flat piece of land. Home Depot claims that they aren't required to give you any notice. They decided to drop off 1,000 pounds worth of boxes at the end of our driveway, in the middle of a snow storm, at dark. To start, we ordered this playset from Home Depot, as a Christmas present to our kids, and it was delivered on a freight truck without any notice. I will give my detailed experience below. Overall my kids love the swing set and it was a good investment BUT PLEASE KNOW there is a TON of work that goes into this purchase! Before you start this project, I highly suggest skimming through all of the directions, ensuring that you received all of the pieces/metal hardware, and sealing the large base pieces prior to assembly. I wish I had just gone cheaper and bought new after 4-5yrs. Some brands you can get 2 swing sets for the price you pay for a Gorilla. I recommend going cheaper and replacing it with a new one. Just beware that they will not cover anything. It took them 6 months of asking for info and not answering just to tell me it's not covered under their warranty. After contacting Gorilla and describing the issues and being upfront I was asked to send pictures, describe every part needing to be replaced in the manual, and then list every single piece which took hours to do. Unfortunately too many parts are rotting and are unsafe. The roof is the worst! The parts coated with the green cover seems to be fine. Unfortunately the wood began rotting on the inside on some important pieces. Ours lasted maybe a year longer than hers. I was pretty diligent at staining and painting ours. We paid around $1800 while they paid less than $1000 for a two story swing set. We invested more in the Gorilla brand because of the better reviews and supposed higher quality. My friend bought a much cheaper swing set from a different brand and company at about the same time we did. provide sample room for children to play under the deck Unit is delivered curbside via freight truck, meaning it is your responsibility to move the product from the curbside to your desired location.Meets and/or exceeds American Society of Testing Materials (ASTM) safety standards.perimeter around the playset for added safety which brings the total recommended footprint to 31 ft.
